IWriSloMo continues to have a LJ community and an active email list. Some of us even successfully completed NANOWRIMO 2004!

IWriSloMo now has a LiveJournal community. At the moment it's open membership and unmoderated. I'm inclined to leave it that way unless problems arise. You can find it at: http://www.livejournal.com/community/iwrislomo

Remember the rules: Write something.
"Bad", "short", and "fiction" are optional. Come to think of it, "Write" is pretty much a guideline, too.

In honor of our inspiration, NaNoWriMo, we'll again set specific daily writing goals for the month of November and do our level best to hold to them.
BTW, although this blog looks moribund, our email list is thriving.
To join, contact one of this list administrators: Manny Olds or Gwynedd. You can find Manny's address in the archived entry from October 21, 2002. Gwynedd's is Gwynedd at aol dot com.

Hey look, the blog's still here.

It's October, and the hopeful writer's thoughts turn to NaNoWriMo, but the IWriSloMo list has been soldiering on since last November with little interruption.
For anyone brave (or foolish) enough to attempt it, the "November is National Novel Writing Month" people*are ramping up over at www.nanowrimo.org

SloMo is a state of mind!
We plan to keep up the progress reports, mutual encouragement, nagging and sympathy indefinitely. We also plan to repeat the "set specific numeric goals" month next November.
Looks like the mail list has decided that December is Also International *Write Something* Month, so if you thought it was too late to join us, think again. (And thanks to our gracious list host for the extension.)

That is, if you still want to for three days (hey, you can write a thousand-word short in three days!)
A note for the curious, IWriSloMo is alive and well and carrying on via its mail list. Email Manny to join the list.
